Why H Group Teaching exists
Built to strengthen homeschooling, not replace it.
In the high-school years especially, families often struggle to find strong science instruction, meaningful lab work, and courses taught by someone with both subject-matter knowledge and teaching experience. What began as a way to meet that need for Erin's own family gradually grew into a fuller program for other families in the area.
This program was not built to mimic school at home or to recreate a casual co-op. It was built to offer something more thoughtful — a place where students receive purposeful instruction one day a week while families continue to homeschool faithfully the rest of the week.

Erin's story
Erin is a homeschooling mother of three and the lead teacher behind H Group Teaching. Before staying home with her children, she taught high school and AP science for eight years. She also spent five years providing a quality early-childhood pre-kindergarten program for at-risk four- and five-year-olds.
Over time, her own experience homeschooling led her to a Charlotte Mason approach and to a growing desire to offer stronger options for other families. H Group Teaching reflects both her academic background and her conviction that children deserve more than thin coursework or loosely managed programs.

A homeschool mother of six — three graduates, a high-school junior, a middle schooler, and a grade schooler — and a brand-new grandmother. Sara loves walking alongside new mothers from birth through the growing years, and she is looking forward to a year of exploration that whets students' appetites for learning.

What shapes the program
Our convictions.
H Group Teaching is shaped by a few basic convictions. Students are capable of serious thought. Strong teaching matters. Education should include more than the minimum needed to complete a checklist. Good books, clear language, close observation, careful habits, and meaningful work all matter.
The program is also upfront about its commitments. The broad structure of the day reflects a Charlotte Mason philosophical approach to education, with substantive, high-quality classes for every student. As students move into the high-school years, thoughtful and comprehensive course offerings allow them to earn high-school credit. Families do not need marketing language. They need clarity — and that is what this program aims to provide.
