H Group Teaching tends to be a strong fit for families who value qualified instruction, clear expectations, and a learning environment that is both thoughtful and structured. It is especially helpful for families who want stronger support in science and who are looking for more than a casual co-op model.
Before you inquire
A few things families should know.
The science courses include real academic expectations — reading, assignments, labs, and graded work at the high-school level. While much will be covered during the Wednesday course, students must complete their reading and associated assignments outside of class time.
The Plutarch lessons take place entirely during class time each week, and students are expected to engage and participate with the material. The Composition courses ask students to bring their written narrations to class each week; weekly assignments guide a written narration but will not add to their workload.
The program is shaped by a Charlotte Mason approach, and science courses are explored with attention to observation and worldview. It is important to be clear about these things from the beginning.
